Home Learning – Tuesday 29th March 2022

Good morning Gazelles. Here is a list of things I would like you to work through today. Please make sure you also go outside to get some fresh air and play in the (fingers crossed) sunshine!

Writing
This week in English we are starting to look at poetry. Today, I would like you to read the Summer poems (link below) and discuss the following questions with adults at home:

  1. What is the title your favourite poem?
  2. What are your favourite words, phrases or ideas?
  3. Why do you like the poem?
  4. How could you extend the poem? What words or phrases would you use?

Can you use the word because in any of your sentences to justify your opinion?
Once you have discussed your favourite poem, answer the questions in full sentences. Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Maths
Yesterday, in maths, we finished our ‘weight’ unit. Today we are going to move onto volume and capacity. I would like you to watch Maths Video 1 and 2 and complete the worksheet.

  1. What is the name of the place/country?
  2. What continent is it in?
  3. Are there any animals that live there?
  4. Does anything grow there?
  5. Can you find three amazing facts about your chosen place?
