Full Time Teaching Assistant & Additional MDSA if required

The Governors are looking to appoint a dynamic and committed Temporary Teaching Assistant with possible additional MDSA hours if required, to join the school working 27.5 hours over 5 days a week, with an additional 2.5 hours for the MDSA role. We wish to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with small groups, individual pupils and whole class support in KS1 and/or KS2, depending on the skills of the successful candidate.  We would expect that the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate, or be able to develop, the knowledge and skills to deliver interventions appropriate to children currently working behind expectations.  Full training will be given. There will also be an opportunity to support children in their play at lunchtimes for additional MDSA hours.
Salary: Grade E, SCP 6-8 (£10.21-£10.62 per hour) with the MDSA role at £9.25 per hour.
NVQ L2 (or equivalent)

Commencement date:  as soon as possible

The successful candidates will be:

  • Contribute effectively to teachers’ planning and preparation of lessons
  • Work within a framework set by the teacher, plan own role in lessons including the provision of feedback to pupils and colleagues on pupils’ learning and behaviour.
  • Contribute effectively to the selection and preparation of teaching resources to meet the diversity of pupils’ needs and interests.
  • Contribute to the planning of opportunities for pupils to learn in out-of-school contexts, in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Deliver lessons to pupils, using clearly structured teaching and challenging learning activities which interest and motivate pupils and advance their independence as learners. This includes lessons delivered via distance learning or computer aided techniques.
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities in which they are involved, using behaviour management strategies, which contribute to a purposeful learning environment, in line with the school’s policy and procedures.
  • Recognise and respond effectively to any equal opportunities issues which arise, eg by challenging stereotyped views, bullying or harassment, following relevant policies and procedures.

Recruitment – After School Club – After School Club Assistant

We are looking for the following to join our friendly and valued team to assist in supervising children at the end of the school day. Ideally to start as soon as possible.

  • The post is for 4 afternoons per week Monday 3:00pm – 6:00pmTuesday 3:00pm- 4:30/6pmThursday 3:00pm- 4:30/6pm

    Friday 3:00pm-5pm.

     £9.43 per hour

     You will be required to initiate and encourage positive play and activities, both on the playground and indoors.

Recruitment 2 x MDSA’s (Midday Supervisor Assistants)

We are looking for two MDSA’s to join our friendly and valued team to supervise the children during lunch and play.

You will be required to initiate and encourage positive play and activities, both on the playground and indoors on wet days and assist in the lunch hall when required.
