Assemblies

January 2022 – Currently, Covid restrictions prevent us from gathering together in a small space, so we are continuing to do Monday and Friday assemblies but virtually.

After registration and early morning activities, the school day (apart from Wednesday) starts with assembly at 9.00am, which has a different focus each day. At Bratton School we place great value on the importance of the assembly as a way of celebrating the day-to-day life of the school, as well as reinforcing the unity of the school community. It gives pupils the chance to participate in a variety of ways from reading, music and drama to dance and project work, with the major focus always on the learning and development of the children.

MONDAY – Whole school (led by Deputy Head teacher )

TUESDAY – Singing Assembly

WEDNESDAY – Assemblies in classrooms

THURSDAY – Class Assemblies/Local Clergy

FRIDAY – Whole School – Celebration Assembly (led by Head teacher)

Parents retain the right to withdraw their children from acts of collective worship & R.E. lessons.
